Tomato sauce for pizza | Snap a Bite

As critical as your crust is, your sauce is even more salient. Good pizza stands or falls with it’s condiments. I didn’t realise this until I found salsa that was good enough.

For our tomato sauce, herbs are imperative! But if you’re feeling creative, you can spread on some pesto or - hold on to your seats - cranberry sauce (topped with brie and caramelised onion).

With our solid base, you can start getting inventive yourself! Next time, we’ll share one of our own favorite pizza recipes.

Tomato Sauce for Pizza

Preparation time: 5-10 minutes
Cooking time: -
Serves: 4 pizzas


 show US units 
8 dl tomato(s) (canned)
3 tablespoon(s) of tomato puree
1 teaspoon(s) of basilicum (dried)
1 teaspoon(s) of oregano (dried)
1/2 teaspoon(s) of sugar (cane)
1/2 teaspoon(s) of salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) of chili flakes
1/2 teaspoon(s) of pepper (black)
2 clove(s) of garlic


Pour the tomatos into a strainer and drain.
Blend all ingredients into a puree.
